Reflections on Focus and Digital Minimalism
Over the past few months, I've been re-evaluating how I spend my time—especially online. Like many, I’ve fallen into the trap of endlessly scrolling, juggling too many projects, and feeling constantly “plugged in.” It’s exhausting.

Recently, I’ve been experimenting with digital minimalism. The premise is simple: use technology intentionally, not habitually. Here's what I've found helpful so far:

🔹 1. Scheduled Disconnection
I’ve begun setting aside one evening per week where I completely disconnect—no phone, no laptop, no notifications. It’s surprising how hard this is at first, but incredibly freeing.

You don’t need more time, you need fewer distractions.

🔹 2. Single-Tasking Instead of Multitasking
Multitasking made me feel productive, but I was rarely doing anything well. Now I work in focused blocks (usually 45 minutes), with clear objectives and short breaks in between.

🔹 3. Intentional Tools Only
I uninstalled most social media apps. Instead, I now use:

  • A plain notes app for ideas
  • A self-hosted task board for personal projects
  • Forums like this one for focused discussion

What’s Next?
I’m curious—has anyone else tried something similar? Have you found success in cutting digital clutter or refining your habits?

Let me know what’s worked for you.
